Job Description



GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS

Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include - Managing long term relationships with key clients who are actively involved with the organisation's insurance products, services and solutions; Providing leadership and driving business growth for the company by developing and implementing strategies and plans to maximise sales achievement; Assist Team Leaders and other senior broking staff to lead the development of employees to ensure their personal growth in capabilities and provide for staff succession; Actively participate in the Performance Management Process (PMP) for your team by leading on planning, discussion and facilitating review dates; Ensure the Branch structure and processes enable effective and efficient operations; Debtor management and Leave Liability - Ensure the Branch meets set financial metrics; Monitor Branch performance against budgets and take strategic action to correct underperformance; Ensure the adequacy of the Branches' compliance activities to meet its obligations under the Corporations Act and Financial Services Reform Act; Work with Area Director and participate proactively as a member of the commercial network of Branch Managers to ensure Branch management and financial metrics for growth and maintenance of performance targets and business issues; Participate and contribute to annual business planning, budget meetings to ensure future performance is met and sustained; Identify and appraise future business opportunities to optimise Branch performance; Maintain appropriate representation with key influence clients, suppliers, Government agencies, insurance industry bodies, insurers and the like to promote and protect the company's best interests; Maintain good relationships, interact and share initiatives with the wider organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You will need to have Dip Fin Services or equivalent tertiary qualifications desirable
Relevant and demonstrated industry experience, either insurance or banking industry
Previous experience in Branch management with demonstrated people management experience
Essential Tier 1 qualification (AU)
