A REFRESHING CHANGE The role is integral to on-time and on-budget delivery of projects in the Construction Department.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS

Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include - Hands on Contract Management. Reviewing and approving variations for projects and communicating these to clients, subcontractors and the team. Reviewing and approving Progress Claims. Ensuring accurate job coding and invoice processing against scope of works. Support the Construction Management in all aspects of contract management. Preparation of monthly Cost to Completes forecasts. Review and negotiate Subcontracts. Record and maintain document flow to and from all stakeholders (internally and externally). Have a strong attention to detail together with the understanding of reading and interpretation of drawing and specifications. Manage the tracking and reporting of project expenditure. Tender Estimating, including quantity off-takes, costings, variations, and qualitative criteria. Assist in scheduling and reprogramming of labour, subcontractors, and materials. Project Budget interpretation and delivery to site staff to ensure works are carried out to time and fiscal budgets. Supervision and mentoring of a Contracts Administration Team. Other duties as directed by the Construction Manager. Understanding of Construction Site works.

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

Reports to Construction Manager.
Has authority and responsibility for efficient friendly accurate performance of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You will need to have:-

Ideally experience within Commercial Construction. Transferring your CM/PM skills, candidates from builders, developers and construction will all be considered.
A firm understanding of contract law (formal qualification highly desirable).
Proven experience working within a CM/PM Role and estimating.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills together with high levels across Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project). Onscreen Take-off MYOB Build Logic .
