ROLE

Join a leading Commercial Landscape Company in the pivotal role of Construction Supervisor

GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS

Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include -

Operational

  • Assist the Site Manager with the scheduling onsite construction as required
  • Responsible for ensuring the team is equipped and prepared with the correct tools and stock to efficiently carry out scope of works daily in accordance with site start times as directed
  • Ensure drawings, specs, safety are kept in a readable manner
  • Work with the Leading Hands and Site Manager to ensure forward planning process is in place eliminating setbacks and delays in the site management
  • Liaise with the Site Manager in addressing any concerns around managing labour, equipment allocation and subcontractors
  • Oversee delivery to sites coordinating effectively by phone and email communications
  • All dashboards implemented and effectively measuring project KPI's; Goals and Targets
  • Ensure drawing revisions are managed and correct interpretation of plans and specifications is carried out accurately at all times, liaising with the Site and Construction Manager on any anomalies in a timely manner
  • Ensure variations to scope of works are addressed and communicated to the Site and Construction Manager and relevant site teams in a timely manner
  • Communicate with clients on site as required and directed by the Site Manager
  • Ensure the team, equipment and vehicles is presented in a professional manner at all times
  • Coordinate the equipment and vehicle maintenance in accordance with the standards and scheduling requirements and that tools are accounted for at all times.
  • Ensure damaged tools / equipment requiring attention are clearly tagged and placed in the yard workshop as per procedure


Fiscal , Governance & Reporting

  • Manage and support the Site Manager in the implementation of company plans and initiatives as directed
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to the teams providing regular updates back to the Project Manager
  • Understand programme and time allowances outlined across projects and liaise with the Site Manager continuously against budget alignment
  • Responsible for understanding and communicating the department Dashboards to the teams continually providing feedback and managing performance
  • Responsible for the management of maintaining and servicing of equipment tools and vehicles across the respective Site / Team being managed under your supervision



Health, Safety and Environment:

  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally put yourself, or others health and safety in harm's way.
  • Promote, execute and adhere to the safety KPI programme and encourage all other employees and subcontractors to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Adhere to all instructions on health, safety and environment, including complying with the Site Safety Management Plans, Safe Work Method Statements and HSE Policies / Procedures
  • Take responsibility of reporting hazards, risks and incidents



RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

Reports to the Senior Management Team
Has authority and responsibility for effective performance of the role

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You will need to have:-

  • Willingness to uphold the Values
  • Preferably minimum 5+ years site experience in landscape construction
  • Good working knowledge of irrigation systems
  • WH&S experience
  • Good leadership, team management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook experience
  • Current MR Class Driver's license - Manual
  • White Card
