ROLE
Leading high performing accounting teams through technology and process change thereby maximizing efficiencies, profitability and growth.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include -
Management of the accounting leadership of numerous strategic business units involving up to 90 accounting staff across 10 teams;
Implementing processes and technological efficiencies, which will at times involve centralisation of some responsibilities and decentralisation of others;
Consolidation of practices and processes, ensuring consistency across the group;
Have the ability to encourage and motivate colleagues and staff, yet have difficult conversations when the need arises.
Maximise efficiencies with both macro and micro perspectives and outcomes;
Working within a 3 to 5 year business plan;
Communicating and presenting to the CFO and Board members both informally and formally on a regular basis

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to the CFO, Senior Management team and ultimately the Board plus all stakeholders.
Has authority and responsibility for the performance of each and every accounting team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You will need to tertiary qualified, CPA or Masters with recent experience in 'change' within a broader infrastructure.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
A high level of accounting software knowledge with the ability to readily grasp technological advancements and understand day to day, monthly and yearly reporting impact.
