Advisor & Coordinator activities related to HS & E to ensure compliance with legislation & AS4801. Fantastic management team.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include - Plan, track and record compliance activities related to the HSE (health, safety and environment) management systems and Heavy Vehicle Accreditation. Source compliance records from the project sites for record keeping. Manage the HSE Compliance Schedule (HSE-REG-009) to ensure it contains electronic records of compliance activities. Manage hard copy records of HSE Compliance Activities. Provide weekly reports on the status of compliance activities recorded on HSE-REG-009. Liaise with Managers and Supervisors to forward plan HSE compliance activities. Coordinate the monthly workplace inspection program in accordance with HSESP-002 (Inspections, Audits & Internal Review). Facilitate and record monthly toolbox meetings for the local workgroups operating around Australia. Conduct monthly training matrix reviews in accordance with HSESP-006 (Training & Competency) Manage the training matrix for each workgroup operating around Australia. Deliver induction training, theory based training and practical assessments of drivers and operators to ensure compliance with HSESP-006. Maintain training files to ensure that hard copy records of training are available. Complete internal audits of the HSE Management Systems and the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation system. Assist local Supervisors and Managers to complete incident investigations (as required) Meet all deadlines as required. Follow company policies and procedures Any other duties within the scope of this role as normally associated with the role of HSE Advisor/Senior Coordinator.
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Has authority and responsibility for the efficient, accurate and friendly performance of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
It is essential you have experience within a medium or large sized organization with a primarily blue collar work force.
You will need to have an appropriate Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
OHS Management Systems Lead Audit qualification
