Opportunity of a life time to join a wealthy private family/investment office and maintain accounting records for around 20 companies involved in subdivisions, investments, syndicates and SMF's. Working as part of a smaller high energy dynamic team you will also assist with general administration. This is a hands-on autonomous and pivotal role.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include -accounts payable; accounts receivable; adjusting transactions and reconciliations; summarising cash positions; petty cash; payroll [small]; assists in the preparation of financial reports such as Profit & Loss and Trial Balance; prepares Business Activity Statements for external review; general admin such as opening mail, filing, general IT assistance within the office; some personal assistance duties for the CEO; answering the phones; attending to queries from external entities; any and all other duties
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to the Chief Operating Officer and CEO.
Has authority and responsibility for accurate, timely and friendly performance of role.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You will need to have recent current experience as an Assistant Accountant and/or bookkeeper.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Current experience with Xero, plus intermediate excel skills is essential. Exceptional written and oral communications skills
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
An accounting tertiary qualification looked upon favourably but not essential.
CLIENT OVERVIEW
Located the northern suburbs. A private family/investment office.
HOURS
Office hours are 8.30 to 4.30 with an hour for lunch. The client requires around 4 days per week. There is some flexibility with hours but the client requires a stable working schedule.
LOCATION
Office is located the northern suburbs and the client has indicated a preference for someone who lives in the northern suburbs.
