Claims Broker within an established centrally located broking firm. Entry level claims broker role. Workers Compensation claims experience preferred.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include - to ensure timely and favourable settlement of claims; keeping clients informed of status of claims in a timely manner; liaise with underwriters, assessors, legal advisers to achieve settlement; ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and industry requirement plus codes; using claim settlement as a marketing tool; develop and maintain an appropriate knowledge of insurance; keep management and others informed appropriately as required about work; lead, motivate, counsel and assist with staff development; use personal effectiveness techniques at a level appropriate to the position; any and all other duties.
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to Management.
Has authority and responsibility for efficient, detailed and friendly performance of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You will need to have recent experience with domestic, commercial or workers compensation claims
TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Experience with broking software is preferred, though not essential.
Stabled well established broking firm located within walking distance of CBD transport hubs.
