ROLE
Assisting a senior broker [one on one] with management and administration of his portfolio. Firm is on an upward trajectory; abundant career opportunities will become available.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but will include -
Maintaining client relationships; providing advice, options and making recommendations; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with underwriters and suppliers; effectively plan renewal activity ensuring policy renewal is achieved within a timely manner; negotiating terms; preparing renewal documents; ensuring issue of documents, invoices and collection of premiums is achieved; development of a portfolio of business and personal lines with emphasis on profitable growth within and exceeding professional standards; identification and development of new business prospects by cross-marketing; keeping abreast of changes in the market place; contribute to new business activities; following up on referred leads by telephone and email; obtaining letters of appointment or of authority from clients and prospective clients; assisting with claims as required; any and all other duties.
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to the Senior Broker and other senior management staff
Has authority and responsibility for administering and management of the senior brokers portfolio alongside the broker
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You will need to have tier 1 and a minimum of 3 to 4 years broking experience in Australia
TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Winbeat and sunrise experience preferred though not essential. Broking software experience is essential. Good accurate keyboard skills are essential
