GENERAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS
Will be provided in detail at client interview but the role will revolve around assisting 'talented' senior Accountants at the pinnacle of their career with their day to day, EOM and yearly accounting consolidation responsibilities plus reconciliation and preparation of working papers supporting GL accounts for several strategic business units including preparation of journal entries; calculating tax effect for all SBUs; FBT calculations and paper preparation; assisting with audits [both interim and final]; assisting with maintenance of company secretarial records as required; participating in internal reviews for SBU's; ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance; and any all other duties.
NB: the role is initially a 12 month maternity leave contract
RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY
Reports to all Senior Accountants
Has authority and responsibility for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data provided.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
You will need to be:-
- Degree qualified
- 2 years minimum accounting experience
- Financial reporting experience, involvement with consolidations preferable
- External/internal audit exposure
- Strong communication skills able to be utilised across a variety of stakeholders
TECHNICAL SKILLS/SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE
Advanced excel skills are essential.
