Initially a 6 month contract as first point of contact and guardian of employee and industrial relations activities; general position to support and provide on all employee and industrial relations matters.
JOB/DUTY DESCRIPTION: Will be provided by the clients at interview but in essence provide general day to day HR/ER/IR advice and support to managers and employees on all employee related topics including, probation, performance, leave managements, remuneration, benefits and grievance; action IR/ER/HR requirements during tender process including preparation of all required documentation; preparation and ongoing review of employment contract templates in accordance with relevant legislation or industrial agreements for international portfolio of projects; interpretation of site agreements, awards and other industrial agreements; manage company Enterprise Agreements and coordinate any future Enterprise Agreement bargaining process to achieve successful engagements with the workforce; develop solid relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally using a collaborative partnership approach to achieve solutions; develop key relationships with ER/HR/IR external consultants, client equivalents and union representatives as necessary, manage client interface for all ER/IR activities; first point of contact for Employee Relations Management Plans and related documentation and reporting requirements; provide ER/IR related recommendations and advice in accordance with business objectives and market indicators; develop ER/IR related recommendations and advice in accordance with business objectives and market indicators; develop ER/IR training programs for field and office employees including coaching and development programs for management team; contribute and assist with implementation of HR initiatives which support company transformation and growth including automated workflows/processes; acts as "employee relations ambassador' and promote company values and wellness activities; attend industry seminars and workshops to keep updated with industry and legislation; other duties as directed by the company.
PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years recent ER advisory role experience in a similar role within Australia in Resources, Oil & Gas, Mining, Mining Construction, and or associated areas.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant tertiary qualification in IR, HR, Law or equivalent working experience.
SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE: Competent computer skills are essential.
SKILLS REQUIRED: High level of oral and written communication skills.
LOCATION: The client is located in Osborne Park and they prefer candidates who live in the northern surburbs.
